Yokai Pixel Series

Started a Yokai Pixel series on OpenSea where I made illustrations from Japanese folklore in a pixel image format! The first five Yokai Pixel illustrations are well yokai's that are well known.

Yokai is spirits and entities that varies from being mischievous to bring fortune to humans. Each yokai has its own unique appearance and personality.

天狗/Tengu is yokai that has human appearence with a red skin and long nose. In some forms of Tengu they would have an appearance of a bird. Tengu has abilities of shapeshifting and can do teleportation with its wings.

雪女/Snow Woman is a yokai that has an appearance of a beautiful woman. She floats in the snow and doesn't leave footprints. She kills travellers who are lost in the mountains.
